Foosball is known by many names, which
can cause some confusion. In America, we have the good
old foosball table. Sometimes, it's spelled with an "E",
as in "fooseball table". Of course spelling-wise,
that's just wrong, but hey, its a free country. You can
spell fooseball with an "e" if you want.

"A foosball
table by any other name would smell as sweet..."

But Fooseball and Foosball is just the
beginning of the debate. Lots of people call the game
table soccer, which makes some sense, as foosball is basically
a miniature form of that great game.
In Germany, you might see the word fussball,
although "kicker" is more common. In fact, the
American word foosball (or fooseball) is actually a corruption
of the German word "fussball". You can learn
why we have our secondhand foosball by learning a bit
about foosball history.
In other parts of Europe, you might hear
the game called "footy." That's common in Australia
too. You might also hear it called table soccer. That
name is pretty universal, in fact.
At OC Foosball, we call our foosball tables,
well... foosball tables. But you can call them whatever
you want!
